Here Is Why Vaping is A Safer Alternative To Cigarette Smoking
There is at least one new study about vaping released every day around the world and the results do vary on some of the topics, but there is a general consensus that vaping is a safer alternative to smoking cigarettes. It is not hard to see why given the fact that vaping vastly reduces the chemical contents hitting the body. If you still want further proof, let’s take a look at some of the main reasons smokers make the switch.
Avoiding the killer contents
Smoking kills a massive six million people around the world each year. Vaping offers a much healthier alternative. Vaping does not include the inhalation of other chemicals that tobacco smoking does, either due to the burning process or the tobacco itself. It could also help to prevent the artery cell damage often experienced by traditional smokers.
When it comes to chemical contents, it is well-known that vapor contains a vastly reduced amount of chemicals compared to traditional tobacco smoking. In turn, it has been shown that human cells do not show a stress response from the effects of vaping in the same way that they respond to cigarette smoke .
Offering increased control
One of the major benefits of vaping - and what sets it apart from other products used in smoking cessation - is the fact that, whether they prefer Tobacco Flavor Vape Juice or fruity flavors, such as this Blueberry Vape Juice, vaping offers what feels like a really manageable way for smokers to gain some control over everything from their relationship with nicotine to their health. This offers a safe way to a better future, and this is all possible without the need for high-octane medical interventions or a willpower-based approach to quitting that is doomed to failure even before it begins.
Vaping can also prevent addiction from forming in the first place. Even if nicotine vape juices are used, nicotine is far less addictive on its own compared to when it is contained in tobacco, and other chemicals increase its effect. There is also evidence that vapers who use nicotine-containing vape juices as part of their efforts to quit smoking often then move onto using juice without nicotine. Logic says that even those who never leave nicotine behind but do make the switch from traditional cigarette smoking to vaping are likely to experience much safer outcomes in the longer term.
Better for your heart, circulation and lungs
It is fair to say that while there is a plethora of vaping studies out there, the fact that it is a relatively new phenomenon means that there is a shortage of longer-term research. There is also an issue in the fact that most vapers were previously cigarette smokers, meaning that there can be a range of pre-existing conditions affecting the results of studies. There is a piece of research that was completed that focused solely on vapers without a past history of smoking, however. This study tracked pre-determined health markers over a period of 3.5 years, looking at circulatory, lung, and heart health. These were then compared to health markers from a control group containing non-vapers with no cigarette smoking history. The findings of this study were extremely positive, showing no adverse effects even in the heaviest of vapers.
Reverses adverse effects of smoking
Smoking cigarettes is known to be the biggest single cause of COPD, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, but one piece of research carried out over three years showed that vaping rather than smoking could help to alleviate some of the effects caused by smokers . The study found that smokers who changed to vapor products experienced an improvement in overall health, with some effects of COPD, such as respiratory infections, actually being reduced.
Viable alternative for older smokers
There is no doubt that there are many smokers, particularly those in the older age groups, who are unlikely to ever go cold turkey when it comes to a cigarette habit they have had for decades. For these people, vaping is a much healthier alternative. A paper compiled by 15 previous presidents of the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco highlighted that vaping has "potential lifesaving benefits" for adult smokers who may be at risk of death or disease. The paper states that stopping smoking reduces these risks and that vaping has been shown to have had an impact on "increasing smoking cessation". It suggested that this effect could be even greater if serious attention was paid by members of the public health community to vaping’s potential.
